Okay, so I am confused. My fish (2 clowns and a firefish) are doing well.
My parameters in my 37 gallon (skimmer, 2 #3 koralias and canister and live rock (35-40 lbs) are
8.3 ph
.22-.23 salinity
trace nitrates
0 ammonia
0 nitrites

I lost both my blood shrimp and skunk shrimp a couple of weeks ago. Now my corals (I have a green star polyp, zo and mushroom) are closing up and I have not done a water change yet this week. I think they are dying (I do not have my camera charged now). The algae is growing (not out of control), the water is clear and everything looks good.

What do you think might be the reason for the corals looking so bad??

Mushrooms will close up when they're eating or at night. Zoas will do the same, as well as close up if something is irritating them.

Are they staying closed?
Have you checked to see if anything seems to be crawling on them?
Have you ran any reef tests such as alk/cal?

They are all staying closed. My calcium is around 440-460. I have not tested alk. I buffer to 8.3 and use RO water. I don't see anything crawling on them. Should I remove them from my tank?
