hey guys. like some of you know from my previous posts, i'm out of town for the week, but i'm back on sunday (i DID end up finding someone to feed my tank in my absence after all!), and want to get my first coral(s)!!! i'm pretty exited about it! of course i'm gonna make sure all the water parameters are ok before i add anything, but they've been steady for a long time now, so i'm pretty optimistic. what do you guys suggest be my first additions? i have compact flouroscent lighting, so i know i have to stay away from some acro and other hard species. i'm looking for something that will be colorful and easy. i'm also interested in the ones that "pulse." i've seen them at my lfs and i think they're pretty cool. any suggestions will be appreciated. thanks!

Pulsing is probably a form of xenia. They can grow quite fast so if you get them you'll want to put them in an area you can control. I have the blue kind, I also like the pink pom pom variety. There is a rarer true blue that is gorgeous but pricey not sure how it would do under PCs either.

Other than that I'd stick to softies. Zoas, mushrooms, etc. Those can be very colorful, especially if you put contrasting colors against one another.

beautiful tank man. thanks so much for the post. a picture is definitely worth 1000 words. i love having something to look at, and now i have some ideas since you have the same lighting i do. thanks again, and thanks to others for their advice as well!
