Hi everyone, i have a 25 gallon reef tank with plenty of corals, and about 14 pounds of live rock. Right now I only have a skunk cleaner shrimp and i was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on what to keep. By the way, i do not like damsels or clowns, as they are aggressive. i would like peaceful fishes. since i already have something red, i was thinking of something blue or purple.... any feedback will be appreciated.

Well depending on the species of clownfish, there are so many different kinds with different personalities. Usually the false perculas tend to be very passive.
I would recommend certain gobies, dartfish. There aren't many fish that you can get that will live in a 25g for life.

hmm well i used to have a false percula and it was pissing me off. Haha it would keep biting my hand when i was changing the water. I was thinking about getting a midas blenny and a purple firefish...... Wat do u guys think??

Midas Blenny and Firefish can be jumpers, I have had both jump in my tank, so just be sure if you go with either of them you make sure your top is jump proofed.

Actually, instead, i have decided on keeping a royal gramma, a blue neon goby, and a yellow clown goby. Would this b okay?? Is it okay to keep different species of small gobies together? I figured it would b okay since they are both different in appearance..

also, what order should i introduce these fish? i was thinking of introducing the neon goby and the yellow clown goby simultaneously first, then add the royal gramma. what do you guys think? i thought that i should introduce the gobies simultaneously since they tend to hang out in the same place, and since they are so tiny, it will not cause much strain on the bio load.

Just as long as your not planning on doing any LPS or SPS corals then the clown goby is fine.. just be warned (because I wasn't) that clown gobies can kill off LPS and SPS corals fairly quickly by sitting on them. They are really cool fish otherwise.

Royal Grammas, while easy and common, are one of those fish that you have to keep an eye on.. I think the majority of basslets are peaceful but you can get one that is as mean as their cousins, the pseudochromis.

Royal grammas tend to not bother or be bothered by other fish, but will vigorously guard their favorite hiding places. Due to their relatively peaceful nature, diet and small size, the royal gramma is considered an ideal inhabitant for most reef aquariums containing coral and other invertebrates. Notwithstanding this general statement, royal grammas can become aggressive towards tank-mates when kept in smaller tanks. They are, however, resistant to most diseases and make very good beginner fish.

Yup, you can usually mix quite a variety of gobies in a tank, just don't put something like 2 yellow watchman together in a small tank. Nothing bad I can say about the neon gobies.. good little fish.
