What a beautiful cat.

I have a friend who has a Bengal cat. He paid $1000 for him when he was a kitten.

He's almost two now. He is more like a dog. He comes when called, and is highly intelligent and energenic.

My buddy built an enclosure in the yard for him. He used a combination of real trees, and 2"x 6"'s wrapped in carpet to make areas where he could climb and explore. Think "cattree" on steroids. He used chain link for the walls of the enclosure, as I'm sure this cat could have bounded straight through chicken wire.

This cat loves to swim, often jumping into the family pool with the kids. Something I always amazed to see, no matter how often I see it.

Good choice IMO Ice.

We didn't pay that much. We adopted her from a rescue and she doesn't have papers so isn't pure but I can live with 3/4s Bengal..

I've been reading about some of the enclosures people have built. Its like having a little zoo lol.

I'm not a cat person and even dreaded getting another one but this cat is so far to cool.

Yeah, his is literally like a zoo. He built it with the intention of adding a second Bengal. He eventually attached it to his garage and added a Doggie door so it can come and go as it pleases. He has spent at least $500 on materials, and still talks about adding on to it and getting another Bengal.

I have had a Bengal cat for five years now. Mack is the most gentle cat I have ever had. He is a lean 16lbs and much taller than our other cat. When one of our dogs try to make him run, he just rolls over and let them lick him. He follows us around like a dog.
Be careful outdoors: I have seen Mack leap six feet up in the air to catch a bird in midflight. He also loves the rain (left over from the wild side I guess!
I would recommend choosing your breeder carefully, making sure it is at least a 6th generation, and very important, that it has been raised underfoot and well socialized!
