Bent Spine?

I bought a couple peacock gobies about a month ago

1 died within 2 days,

The other one was doing perfect.

I've been pretty busy with work and classes lately, but i recently noticed that he's been hunched over constantly. It's actually pretty ridiculous how bent his spine is.. a couple more degrees in and he's look like a semi circle.

What gives?

pH 6.8, Temp - 83 F
0 ammo,0 nitrite, 10 nitrate

Don't really have a set schedule of maintenance. Some times weekly, sometimes biweekly, sometimes 2 times a week. Whenever i have time, but I never let the nitrates get >20. Gravel vac with every WC.

In the tank:

1 juvi discus
2 GBRs
9 Rummies
1 Card
2 Yellow Panchax Killie Males
5 Pandas
1 Peacock Goby

Dave, please check GH, KH and calcium levels. What are you feeding the goby? Malnutrition or calcium deficiency is a possible cause.

Will do. Haven't checked GH, KH in quite a while.. and actually have never checked my calcium level.

Feedings go as follows: (Every coma is a new day.)
Bloodworms, Flakes/Granules for 2 days, Brine Shrimp, Flakes/Granules for 2 days.

The goby eats very well. and isn't picky and will eat anything.

Dave, please go ahead and check your hardness levels and calcium. In the meantime, please soak the brine shrimps and bloodworms in Zoe (Kent Zoe Freshwater vitamin/mineral supplement) for 10-15 minutes and feed it to the fish right away.

A small number of my fish have gotten this way over time. Others have not. I might conclude that age has to do with it in some cases. I know my fish aren't malnourished and if there were a calcium deficiency then more than one or two out of the many would show it.

Not saying that it can't be these things, just saying it could be something else...and could be harmless. One of my rasboras has looked like that for over a year.
