Hi all.

I am adding a lid to my 5g and so want a good 50w heater than can be fully submersed, and that is the smallest size possible.

I currently have a Marine land visitealth but when I submerse it fully it seems to stop working, although it works fine with the control end out of the water : / -- it is also fairly large.

Can anyone recommend another brand, especially a small sized one, which would allow me to have only the power cord extending out of the tank?

Unplug it, set the temp, put it where you want it in the tank submerged, then plug it back in. Sometimes the thermostat needs to reset. I have them in a bunch of tanks submerged and they work fine. I have noticed that if I move them or adjust the temp while they are plugged in that they sometimes stop working until I unplug/plug them.
