If you dont want your new (and amazing-sounding) snails in a 5g, get a few amano shrimps and mystery snails; if the snails reproduce, your amanos will eat the small ones, thus keeping them under control and giving healthy vitamins, nutrients & hunting to your shrimps!! :)


They won't be in there permanently. I'm aware of how big brigs can get. I have a 10-gallon, a 29 gallon, and plans for another large tank sometime in the next year or so... probably over 150 gallons. So they won't lack for elbow room. Except for the fact that they don't have elbows. :dance2:

And right now I can't afford anything else as I'm technically over my budget for the next month or so. The seller is offering me a red ramshorn for the tank instead since the trio of apples found my damaged plants irrisistable. She assures me ramshorn won't harm my plants. Are they algae-eaters?
