Best books on freshwater tropical fish

I REALLY like:
- Exotic Aquarium Fishes The Innes Fish Book

and;
- Baensch Aquarium Atlas (start with Vol. 1 - they get expensive!) ~$30 per book and there are half a dozen volumes, but Vol 1 was a stand-alone text until demand required Baensch to write more!

If you are only going to buy 1 book and are a newbie I would suggest "The Complete Idiots Guide to Freshwater Aquariums".
I have Baensch's Aquarium Atlas and like it a lot, but it is a bit dated. My newest book is Encyclopedia of Exotic Tropical Fishes by the newest Axelrod on the scence. Like a intro to ichthyology textbook plus a crap load of fish profiles. Also the quickguide of fish profiles by Barron is a very good back pocket sized take to the fish store when you go book to have. Almost 300 fishes, inch and a half wide and 10 inches long. Those are my favorites
Axelrod's Atlas is a great picture book for ID purposes, but lacks more than basic info on each species. On the other hand, books with more extensive text are more limited in the variety of fish they cover. The Baensch series is the best of both worlds. If you need more specific info on a particular species that isn't covered, there's always the internet...
you wound me... why would you need a book when you have hundreds of *cough cough real (in some cases)* fish ppl tell you the anwsers 24/7/365
