best eel like fish for my tank?

ok cool i think ill like then better. ive read a bunch of stuff about them swimming in your fingers and eating out of your hand and stuff

Yup once they warm up to you they come up to you all the time. It's like an Oscar in a rope fish body lol.

Now you guys are making me want to get some! I finally convinced myself that bichirs we better. Grrr Lol.

I'd add the tetras, plecos, and ropes first. If you don't have a QT tank, then add the ropes very first, and treat your display tank as your QT tank. Then add the tetras and plecos, and lastly the cichlids. That way even if they aren't territorial now, they can't establish the tank as theirs only.
 
now i need to find where i can buy them. im pretty sure ive seen them before i just dont know where.

Look outside the chain. Call some of the lfs (other than the chains) and most places can order them for you. Just make sure they guarantee what you are ordering.
