what is the best heater to use for all tanks... i like stealth and jager.

what about a filter... i dont know if i should use a canister for my 90... what about my 55?

FTR i normally like to overfilter no matter what fish are in my tank

I'm a big fan of Stealth heaters, I think I have probably 6+ atm from 300-75watt and wouldnt use another heater.

As for filtration, it depends on what you plan to stock, are you going with plants (co2 or non-co2), or fish only?

Then go with whatever is your budget or tastes, I use canisters and HOBs with my low-tech planted tanks, and I see no difference between them.

Heather - Jager
Filter --- i love Eheim Filters

I've had the best luck with visi-therm stealth heaters, and have had some meltdowns with other brands.

As for filters, its all in the matter of personal taste. I prefer Hagen aquaclears over the marineland HOBs. But the only canister I've owned is Rena...heard pretty good things about all the other brands though.

say my room is 78 degrees.... whats the water going to be? 78? Would i still need a heater?

keep one for the winter... you are in Pennsylvania dude!!!!
