nope, no red/orange tail, just all black! I found it, it is a black shark, which is aggressive, the one you mentioned is non aggressive according to the species profile. Thanks for the response! So the bala wins for the poll i guess, Are they gonna tell us the answer or what? and my ID is still living and looks to be getting better. I think if he was going to die, he would have by now, hopefully!

Iridescent sharks can live for 30+ years under good circumstances. The others will top out at 7-10 yrs most likely.

How big is your tank? Your going to need a tank about the size of your house with all those shark :thud:
 
my irredescent is strong to survive but a big weakling with others considering the fish, a tiger balm, the size of one of his fins caused considerable damage. The black shark is highly aggressive. we are getting rid of him, My 6 yr old shark grew to about 12" in a 40 gallon, we just built in a 275 gallon in the wall, so you don't need a big tank, but it helps them grow bigger. Irredescent's, despite belief, are very passive and easily targeted, since there is no where to hide. He won't fight back.
