Okay so I've decided I definitely want some kind of livebearing fish in my 25 g. It will be with snails, tetras, corydoras and possibly some very small gouramis... I want something that will be out a lot and will produce really pretty offspring. I also don't want something that gets too big (like over 1.5 inches). I know swordtails get aggressive when breeding so they're out and I read that mollies are very shy, though I don't know if this is true... So should I go with mollies, guppies or platys?? I definitely want something with pretty colors which has me leaning toward the guppy! TIA for any input!

endlers

Pretty colors much like the guppy. Don't keep guppy's and endler's together though. They can and will breed together.

http://swampriveraquatics.com/_wsn/page6.html has some cool pictures of some.

Endlers are related to the guppy :)

Guppy - Poecilia reticulata
Endler - Poecilia wingei

Man, those colorings are giving me epileptic seizures... :hypnotized:

No way... Goodieds have more personality than guppies or endlers ANYDAY. They also will pick at algae and don't eat their fry.

CaitxSith- You are correct. I just didn't mention it. I felt it was more important to warn about keeping the two together if you don't want mixes.

O.O No baby eating!!! YAY I want some of those! Thanks for the advice. Hopefully sometime next week (already added corydoras this week) I will go get either the endlers or the Goodieds. Thank you all
