I'd been using Formaldehyde for the last 2-3 weeks or so. But everytime I stop applying them the ick come back!
I heard there are better products such as CopperSafe and Quick Cure. I have live plants in my tank and I don't want to disrupt the biological filter. There are so (too) many different products in the store and I don't feel like trying everyone of them before killing my fish. Anyone has experience with CopperSafe and/or Quick Cure?

For formalin to work you need 2 weeks of constant use, at least 3 even better, even if there are no more spots remaining. Try raising your temp to speed up the life cycle toss your carbon, dose a little heavy in the begining works for me 99% of the time fresh or salt.

Any meds (just like salt) have to be administered for a period after all visible signs of ich are gone. Formalin should work barring other variables, as will malechite green, acriflavin and so on. I'm on the same page as other here when it comes to copper. I don't and will never use it. It's just too toxic to be worht the risk.

The article will shed light on why your formalin hasn't worked yet, and also give you a good bit of other useful information.
