hi all... just trying to do some research, and was just wondering what your opinions were on the various saltwater nano kits

It depends upon a number of variables, I suppose, like size, what is going to be kept, etc. If you want my honest opinion on all the pre-packaged, all-in-one nano systems, I think they are all an awful waste of money for what they are. I dare say a rip off. If you take your time setting a nano up, a custom made one could potentially land you a bit cheaper cost wise and be much better than all-in-one systems. The only upside to most of them is that they are neat and somewhat self-contained--but you can do that too with time, care, and a bit of DIY and come out (again) with a nicer result. So my vote goes to piecing your own "custom" sytem together. I think you'll be happier with it.
