Just like the title says..

Id like to buy them and take them home the same day..

So Im thinking PetSmart, Petco, Walmart, local fish shops, etc?? Actually, the nearest shop specializing in fish is a bit away from me. :(

ideas on PetSmart?

The big-box stores sell a lot of semi-aquatic and non-aquatic plants as "suitable for aquariums." (Well, so do a lot of Mom & Pops that should know better. :irked:) If you haven't got an LFS nearby that specializes in plants, you might want to reconsider ordering online; you'll get genuine aquatic plants and a very good selection. And, as evelyn80 said, there are members here who have plants for sale and have good reputations.

Just a thought.

your best bet is right here on the board.

1) you will most likely get accurate information on how to care for the plant
2) you will bet a better price
3) the plants are usually in great shape and you will be happy with what you pick up

Definitely here is good. I also like aquariumplants.com. Avoid Petsmart and Petco, as they will happily sell you plants that are not actually meant to be in/under water. Walmart is hit or miss - I got some giant hairgrass that died in a week, and some dwarf baby tears that are lasting longer so far than some I got on ebay. If not ordering online, stick to your lfs, preferably an aquatic specialty shop, as they are more like to a) know what they're talking about, and b) have taken care of the plants properly while they've had them. As for travelling time, if you don't mind the drive to the place you said was a little distant, plants are not as fragile as fish with being in a bag for a while, and should be just fine when you get home.
