i was wondering what u guys use to feed your fish. i use tetramin flakes but does anyone have a food that promotes a noticeable difference in their overall health for the better? there are so many food brands today i didn't know where to start when i bought teramin flakes.

I prefer the BioBlend brand for dry foods. Variety of sizes, floaty foods, and a number of options, from herbivore to carnivore to omnivore formulas. But, most of my tanks get frozen prepared foods--better response, more variety, easier to store.

Almost all major brand flake food now in days is well balanced and works great as a staple food. I've heard that there is something behind the "color enhancing" foods, so you could try that. Frozen foods and veggies offer variety in addition to a staple diet of dry food. Your fish will love you for it, and might even start to do the "hibity jibity" for you.

P.S. hibity jibity = fish sex

I like Ocean Nutrition and OSI for my flake food - good quality - buy it on the internet for about half the price of stores..oh and Mooman, for both brands, they clearly state on the labels...promotes "hibity jibity"......hehe
