OKay so I decided to try trapping them first, last night was my first attempt.
I cut a bottle and inverted the lid, tossed some food in there, and then sunk it facing where the kuhlis usually hide. Went out to a concert (Flogging Molly!! YEAH!!!) came back, the kuhlis were out, but not in the bottle, which was empty...
So I left it in there and went to bed, came back this morning and YAY there was movement!!
Got close, and then realized that it was my darn pleco Gary.
Gary some how squeezed himself through a hole smaller than him, and then was stuck in the bottle...

Will try again tonight...
I see them snaking up the corners of my tank in the middle of the night when I need to turn on my room lights.
