Best way to fix chipped edge of 210 gal tank.

Images of the patch

Finally, here are some images of what I have done so far. All glass was cleaned with a vinegar mix, then bleach mix, aquarium safe spray then acetone. And rinsed over ten times.
First epoxy coat (tried to fill in any gaps, etc.)

Oceanic Granite, eh? Nice find! Btw it was rated at 215 gal. I picked a 75 up a couple of years ago with the matching stand for $50!

I was really surprised by the structural quality of the tank, Oceanic has my support now for their products. I bet that's a nice tank, also really great price. I got this one for a amazing price too, plus tons of extras. Could not of spent $225 any better! good luck with your tank!

Nice job on the patch repair. I am curious what brand of epoxy you used to repair the chip on the edge of the glass? It appears to have set clear, rather than turn gray or white.

Thanks, I found it at walmart, for 3 or 4 dollars. It came out fast, said it cures in 4 hours. Here is the pic,

Update

Curing is all done seems to have went well. Finishing leveling the stand. Probably will wait till this weekend to do a water test. So I can be home if something goes wrong!

Your support of Oceanic comes a bit late to matter to them! They went out of business a couple of years ago!

I think they just got bought out and as a result got rid of the pretty girl on the promotional add and dropped their line of rectangular tanks. But the trademark name is still there selling fashion-fauxpas tanks

Incidentally good job on the repair jasen222.

Just an update, hopefully leak testing soon!

Finally got back to this post, decided to install glass block windows and paneling behind where that tank is going, along with many other things going on in my life, sorry for the delay. I was getting ready to leak test when a freind told me the stand should support differently. Started a new thread about it http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=239725. Hopefully tomorrow I can proceed with the leak test with out doing to much to the tank. Thanks for all the information.

Good News. Took about 5 months, but after installing paneling, pouring concrete, and building a new stand, the water test has passed. Soon I will put pictures up and some other info I learned along the way. Thanks for all the help.

Excellent news. Thanks for the update.
