Betta and ghost shrimp question

well...i brought 3 ghost shrimp and i put it in the Betta tank as cleaning crew....and i notice one is carrying eggs.

this morning i check on my shrimp and find the one who carry eggs were dead. and all the eggs are gone. so here is my questions:
1)is it true that when a shrimp give birth then it will dead?
2)Is the death related to the betta?
3) where could the eggs gone?

1) no
2) possibly, but if you have a large enough tank and at least a couple hiding spots I wouldn't say it is likely.
3) females are almost always pregnant (or at least it seems like that for me) but either the babies don't survive or the eggs are eaten or not fertilized?
