Betta Buddy is scrounging debris from bottom of tank: Is this OK?

What size is Moby2's tank? He maybe bored with no other animals to hunt or interact with. If it's a small tank maybe a few snails or shrimp...Our bettas (back in the day) liked to hunt small neons...until they got beyond bite sized. A live plant or 2 may also give him a place to rest & pick at micro-fauna. While his diet seems good, he may tend to chubbiness without some exercise...kinda like people...
Hi,
Thank you for your reply. Moby2's tank is 2.5 us gallons. He has 4 plants, 2 snails and 3 cherry shrimp as tank mates. He has a beta log and a cup he loves to hide in. He is a pig when fed. No way I can let him eat for 2 minutes. He would explode!

Thanks again,
Randy

That sounds good. He is definitely in a large enough tank. The decorations and plants seem like a good thing to have as well. And if he IS bored, I would recommend something that has a opening for him to swim through, like a fake rock. I have one in my community tank and the fish seem to really like it, especially my betta. It's just a good thing to keep bettas occupied.

Maybe something like this?

Hi,
Thank you. I do have a floating Betta log in the tank for Moby2. He really enjoys swimming through it and hiding out in it.
Best wishes,
Randy

Alright. That's great. I don't see any reason why he should be bored. By the way, he is a very pretty fish!

Enjoy your Aquarium!
