Betta Compatible Fish???

I recently had a 5.5g tank given to me. I'm also planning on have live plants and a betta with a couple mystery snails.

Good luck!

Also along with water quality, there aren't that many fish to fit in a 5.5g, comfortably.

If you do add adf's in the future, you'll need to take precautions with your filter and you'll probably have to take special care with feeding it with with a hungry betta around.

I would go with what the others say as well and that that's a good setup. All bettas are different though, mine wouldn't live with anyone, not even snails. He wanted that five gallon to himself. ;)

I just put my female betta in one of my 10 gallon tanks and it has platys and head and tail-light tetras and a peacock eel (hes only in there temp.) but they all seem to be getting along fine

Honestly, when you have a nice "centerpiece" fish, you really want the attention on them...Junking it up, just takes the picture and some how cheapens it...Hope that makes sense..

I agree wholeheartedly, and with one exception each of my tanks only holds one species of fish. I find it much more enjoyable that way.
