i have a 1.5 gallon AQ for my betta....

is there any other fish/fishes i can throw in there with him... he just seems so lonely...

or maybe some shrimp or snails.. anything..

i am sure the answer is no.. but i thought i would at least ask.

I would get a bigger tank, bettas really show their personalities when they have ample room to swim in, more than 5 gallons.

i am thinking about taking my danios out into like a 10 g tank.. .. can i put the betta in there

Bettas don't get lonely. Also as others have said, your tank is too small for more fish.
You want to move the betta and the danios together into a 10?.
I've heard mixed responses about their compatibility and I think a 10 might be too small for the danios.

:iagree: yeah , ur 1.5g is too small for ur betta , bettas will be depress in small tanks/bowls, put him alone in a atleast 10g with lotsa plants and caves for him to explore and see a new betta ! u never ever can putem back in a smaller tank after see how happy they will be in a bigger house :) mine is in a 20g all for him self :)

Mine gets lonely...for me! Either that, or he's always hungry 'cause every time I enter the room he swims over to me and waggles around like he's glad I'm there.
I agree though...bigger tank, heat, filtration, lots of real plants to lounge on, and things like caves to explore. Takes a betta from being a decorative object into a really awesome pet.

he s not get lonely , they r so smart , mine come to watch everybody that enter the room . and as long as u stay over his tank he ll stay and watch ur evrymove too ! bettas r like pigs when it comes too food , they mostly eat as much as u give them , so they can easily overfeed themselves , one of mine died cuz of that ( i did n t know that time that they will overfeed themselves , i thought the poor thing s hungry ) .. becarefull with feeding ...

oh i forgot ..

first : 10g is too small for ur betta and ur danios .
sec : danios may nip ur bettas tail :( .
third : bettas will not live long and well in community tanks ...

I know, he doesn't get fed a lot..he just wants it all the time. Lately he has this trick where he'll hang out in the corner closest to the couch if I'm sitting there and pick up bits of sand, and spit it out, look me over, pick up more sand, spit it out, glare a bit more...it's like he's saying "I'm so hungry and pathetic, I eat sand. You know you want to feed me." It doesn't work though. And I can tell he recognizes me because he doesn't greet my husband or any company...ignores anyone else coming through the door. But he knows I control the food.
