hey guys
i have 3 female bettas living together in a 20g and two of them are full of eggs , have the white egg laying tube sticking out and frequently flash horizontal stripes. obviously they are ready to pop but i fear that they are too small for breeding and that a horny male would kill them. they are about 1.5 inches long so i wanted to let them grow and condition them a bit before breeding. my question is how long she will keep the eggs and what happens when the eggs are not viable anymore. will they dissolve inside her or will she release them. i dont know this as they are my first betta females and none of my books/sites refer to this. thanks.
