betta...filter or no?

um..haha
make sure you research EVERYTHING you read on here before you take action. sometimes people are wrong!

some people would say 78-80. i personally always felt like circulation to those fins might be helped by heat, but thats pure speculation.

I'm no expert, but here's my experience with my wifes Betta.
I had it in a 29G community, with two large HOB's and the betta loved that tank. Loved it. Due to my curious Loach, I had to move it into a 5g tank, where I have a 5-10 HOB filter I keep the water level right at the middle to top of my little diffuser thing(sit's on the outake of the filter) So water current is existant, but minimal. I am however still having issues with a top filmy layer.
Anyway, I think the bigger the tank for a betta, the better... And Mine stays in the top 70F degrees.

i run a filter on my 5 gallon hex tank with a betta in it. i just have the current set very low. as for temp, that is kept at 77-78 with a heater.

1 wc a week is with filtration.. i definately prefer filtration...
Firebelly girl id get the normal rectangle, and a seperate filter because the rectagnle simply has a better footprint.
