Ive had this mini bow 5 tank for a little just empty, so i filled it and put a betta in it 4 days ago... he is really healthy but he seems to not like it cause of the filtration.. its the Tetra Micro Filter, its a good filter but the current seems to be too strong for him, he keeps getting blown around and hiding all day,

this is the tank and filter i have.. http://www.petco.com/product/104565/All-Glass-Aquarium-5-Gallon-Aquarium-Kit.aspx

I was thinking of going to my LFS and getting this filter.. http://www.petco.com/product/104565/All-Glass-Aquarium-5-Gallon-Aquarium-Kit.aspx i know its for a 3 gallon tank but since betta's dont like current it should be good..

I had the same problem with my gouramis, so i put a sponge (used elastic band) over where the water comes back out, and it worked. It slows the amount of water taken in, but its OK for just a betta. Or rubber band a lid off of a food pot over the tube, and this makes the water just dribble down it into the water.

:)

Beautiful betta in your avatar BTW :)
