Betta & Firemouth

I have seen on a couple of compatibility charts, that a Betta will make good tankmates with a Firemouth. Does anyone know if this is the case?

i have to second that, they're just gona think each other is a rival (and flaring won't help), followed by lots of bloodshed on the fighters behalf.

Oh why oh why is the poor betta considered this super tough fighter. He is a lover not a fighter.

That chart is absolutely incorrect. A betta will be eaten by a Firemouth. A betta really can't defend itself, except against another betta or other small, not-so-agressive fish.
