Betta: Flake food?

I inherited a betta from a co-worker and put him in my 20 gal. long community tank. I was concerned about aggression at first, but he let the buenos aires tetras know who was boss and now all is good. He gets fed the same thing as everyone else in the tank and looks so healthy! I feed a variety of bloodworms, veggie flakes, color flakes, tubifex worms, spirulina pellets, brine shrimp, and am trying to finish up the betta pellets he came with. I think the variety is the key. I have never had a constipation problem with him and I think it's because of the variety and the veggie flakes at least once a week. All my flakes are the Omega One brand.

Well, I got my new betta today!

He's quite a unique character, settled in already. Scoffed at the flakes today, but when he gets hungry he'll realize soon enough that they may be worth a try. (Not getting blood worms for a week..)

Little fellow likes to swim up to everyone in the tank and just stare. It's hillarious. He's a softie, hides from the aquatic frog because it nipped him.

i had my betta "james" in a 20 g on the kitchen counter so he got bits of hamburger, steak, and whatever else kinda meat i had..
he lived a long time and was spoiled rotten..

Hi there, I have a 10g tank with 6 white skirt tetras, a betta and I just added two lil Oto's the other day. I've been feeding my tetras and betta the BettaMin, and TetraMin tropical flakes made by TetraO. After I put the two Oto's in the tank, I've been dropping one Algea Disc in the tank for them. I caught my betta nibbling on the disc this morning.. is this normal? I haven't fed him any blood worms yet, but have been thinking of getting a bottle for "treats" for the fish.
