Betta flaring

What should I do to make an idiot Betta stop flaring at his own reflection??

Just leave him alone
A flaring betta is generally a happy betta !!

Or perhaps he's seen his reflection for the first time or something...usually the betta will get bored of flaring, like the ones in LFS's

I wish my guy woudl flare more often but usually only does it when something new or different comes along. Generally he is pretty passive or even shy.

I just got my first betta around the end of December, and really didn't know much about them when I got him. The first time I saw him flare, I thought oh no, what did I do, he must me sick or something :duh: LOL I had always thought by flaring, people meant puffing his fins out!!!!!!!!!!!
