I currently have a betta in a 3 gallon Eliclipse w/biowheel - I wanted to add one or two ADF's - should I add an air stone or is this not needed for a 3 gallon tank - will it be too much for the fish & froggies?

Well, since frogs breathe atmospheric air just like a betta (hence the lack of gills;)) you don't need to add an air stone.

With some frogs and a betta, thats a fully stocked tank and will need to have frequent water changes....

Make sure you add them on a day when you can be home to supervise, btw, since your betta may not tolerate them. Also, give them plenty of hiding spaces and caves. Make sure the lid is very, very tight.

Yah preferably frozen bloodworms, IME...

THANKS for your help!

I currently give my betta fish freeze dried bloodworms with his regular betta food - I guess I may have a problem with the betta fish eating all the food - hmm. . . do the frozen bloodworms sink - or should I go with the sinking pellets?

well never feed bettas freeze dried bloodworms, it can lead to bloating by impaction. and eventually the fish can die from that. it's best to feed those betta bit stuff and some frozen bloodworms every now and then. also with feeding ADFs bloodworms be careful because i went through two ADFs that ended up dying because they ate soo many bloodworms. (both females i believe, more aggressive at feeding times)

Freeze dried foods aren't inherently bad. Bettatalk.com recommends freeze dried foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp, but to be aware of any hard pieces which can cause digestion problems. I feed my betta freeze dried bloodworms and he loves them. If anything, they're an aphrodesiac, as I'd never seen him build bubble nests like he does after a good bloodworm meal. :) They're also a heck of a lot easier to feed than frozen foods which are a hassle to break apart, thaw and then pour in. I always end up overfeeding frozen food because it's a lot more difficult to work with.
