if you are worried about costs, consider that it will be more expensive to house the hundreds of fry that will result in a spawning.

well I guess the last post did it. haha I do NOT want to breed them.. dun have the expertise or time to do it.. its only one female and male.. so far not of them are dead. So you mean that the male can be just making the bubblenest and trying to show off but they might not breed at all right?

I just need a confirmation that they have not mated and the bubblenest are for show and then I can leave them as it is with a peace of mind..

Yea.. I working on the whole nitrogen cycle thingy.. keeping ammonia below 1..

I don't think anyone can "confirm" that they have or haven't mated (unless you can see the eggs) and even if they haven't, as long as you leave the male and female(s?) together you'll have a possibility of mating.

It would be best to separate them for now. You certainly don't need anymore fish until you are done cycling!

haha its too late !! they mated today.. well I guess they had their fun.. Im going to seperate them after their... one night stand..
