betta has dropsy?

Classic dropsy symptoms. Bloated for one day, and now slight appearance of raised pinecone.

Read that you can increase temp and add epsom salt. I also read that you can use oxolinic acid, but must be careful because it can get toxic. Anything else? Some suggest euthanizing a fish with dropsy? But, i think i'll wait it out , see if he makes it.

I'm kinda choked, this was my first betta and fish ever.

Must be the day of dropsy.

I have a post on my oscars. I use Mardel Maracyn-two. I used it a year ago on my goldfish and it worked wonders.

usually once the scales atart to look likje pinecones, there isnt much you can do except put the fish out of its misery.
i didnt read travellinmans post though. maybe he knows something that i dont.

alright, i'll try theMardel Maracyn-two. His symptoms look pretty bad though. Laying on his side and only coming up to breath.

Should i cut down on his feedings? Seems that food may complicate things internally (since this is a disease of the internal organs)

Well, he looked really really bad.

Super bloated, pinecones, very heavy breathing and laying on the bottom on his side.

Gave him his last meal of his favorite (bloodworms). Surprisingly he still had a huge appetite.

Put him in a plastic yogourt container, then in a ziplock, then in the deep freeze. RIP:sad
