Betta is trying to commit suicide?

why are you putting betta with guppy in the first place?

I purchased a couple of betta books and they both recommended guppies and platys as tanks mates for the betta.

Today my betta is back to swimming the tank and hasn't gone to the filter tube yet. Hopefully he'll stay that way.

if you shut off your filter in your hospital tank, it's no longer a hospital tank casue the bio-filter is no more, you killed off your bateria :(

I'm glad I'm not the only one with an insane Betta! Our first Betta
(Mr. Fish R.I.P. ) loved the current but avoided the
intake tube. I just assumed our new Betta would adjust to it, too.

But, I never expected this dingbat! to allow his tail fin to be
sucked up by the intake then ZOOOOM away as fast as he
could swim--I thought he was nuts but I guess it's just a Betta
game he likes to play. Hubby says since the fish is a goldish/white
that it's a "blonde" thing LOL

Gotta love those Bettas! Berta

I thought that there would still be some beneficial bacteria in the gravel bed.
