yesterday my female betta build her self a bubble nest and last night filled it. i was wounderin if bettas could lay the eggs if theres no male like guppies. or could i put the male in there and see if he would fertilize them after the fact.

Are you sure it's a female? Betta eggs are very tiny, about the size of a grain of salt. And no, the male won't fertilize the eggs after the fact. Fertilization occurs when the male wraps around the female while 'squeezing' the eggs out. He'd most likely just eat the eggs and quarrel with the female.

Hmm I thought the males built the bubble nests.....

Females have been known to blow nests occasionally. There have even been reports of females helping pick up eggs and putting them into the nest (happened in one of my spawns actually).

I will have to say that watchin the bettas flash their colors during mating ritual is a sight to see.

yes its a female the eggs are just little specs about the size of the tip of a ball point pen dose any one know how long before she is ready to lay eggs agian

Most breeders recommend a minimum of 2-3 weeks of conditioning before breeding a female again. Considering she didn't actually go through the process of breeding, you could try a little sooner. Do as much reading as you can about breeding bettas. It's not as simple as adding a male and female together. Often, more times than not, the process doesn't go as smoothly as you want it to.

if there is no male then the eggs are dead,

if a female gets to full she will squeeze the eggs out of her self, and some times even blow them in to a nest.

I bred bettas for a few years and nearly all my females helped the males with the egg collecting.

But to answer your question no. if you put a male in he will most likely destroy the current bubble nest (cuz its not his) and beat the female up. remove the eggs if she does not eat them in a few hours, they will mold and foul the water.
