My betta needs a new place to live because she is being intimidated by the Dwarf gorami that shares her current tank.
I have been thinkin g of putting her in a large ( maybe 25G) container outside on the porch. I would add lots of floating anacharis. With water changes etc, I think this should work fine as far as clean water goes.
My concern is temperature.
It runs to the 90s(F) here during the day, and 70's at night. how do you think the betta would feel about that?
The porch never gets any direct sun.
Thanks

You would need a heater to maintain a steady warm temp. They are tropical fish.

I agree, the fish will do fine in the upper ranges but you need a heater to keep it @ 78 & above for a healthy happy Betta
Get a 50 or 75 watt Stealth heater, around $30.00 :)

I'd put the container outside with a thermometer and check the temp early in the morning to see how low it gets at night. Water temp tends to be more stable than air temp, so it might stay warm enough without a heater.
