I just discovered one of the bettas in my sorority tank has popeye, and another has a little tumorish looking bulge on its dorsal. I have maracyn and maracyn 2, should I go ahead and treat the whole tank?
Tankmates are kuhli loaches and briggs, is the maracyn safe for them?

Parameters:

Temp: 78F
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: between 5 and 10ppm
pH: 7.2
(API freshwater master kit, expiration dates are still good)

Edit: no signs of finrot, or any other symptoms, although one girl is looking fat (more eggy looking, not pineconed)

Ok, I got a better look, and the girl with popeye has some fresh tears (clean tears, not rotten) and messed up scales in places, and it's only one eye, so I'm thinking she got in a fight.
The one with the lump has had that for a while, so it's probably not anything related.

To be safe do you think you could post some pics? I'm a big believer in being prepared to jump on a developing problem. You're proably right that she was in a fight, but if you can, please post some pics. I'd like to see the dorsal fin lump on the other one, too, if you can.

Ok, I got some of the popeye girl. Couldn't get any decent ones of the lumpy fin one, but I'll try again later.
Pardon the massive amount of water spots in the first pic.

That's a nasty looking eye! I would probably quarintine her, and keep her in a sterile enviornment so she can heal. If she worsens you could try the maracyn/maracyn II. And keep an eye on the other tank without unnessicary medications. She looks pretty fat to me, but you are probably right, she's probably just eggy.

lol, she's not the fat one. She's the smallest one in the tank. The breeder I got them from seems to breed stocky betta girls, they were bigger than full grown pet shop ones at around 4 months.
