I have a betta who is currently in a 2.5 gallon. I was wondering if I could move him into my empty ten gallon until I get to stocking it which will be thursday or friday. I know I can do it, but is it ok to just tank him out and then right in. And then out and into the 2.5 again?
Thank you.

yup you can but you have to be careful and watch your ammonia level since the tank will be cycling

...what is the purpose of changing him?Do you have a heater in that 2.5g?like king said is the 10g cycled? And betta loves to be in 5g,so maybe why not leave him in the 10g,what will be your 10g stock?

I have two snails, and I plan on getting cardinal tetras, platys and maybe adf. I was thinking maybe a female betta but would he be ok in there? I'd love for him to have some friends. I thought I'd give him some more swimming room. Idk, I worry too much about how my animals feel. hah.

Firstly, never mix male with females unless breeding, cardinals and neons are for well matured tanks. You can go with 3 AFD, betta, not sure on the platy, unless it's not the same color as the betta. How long has your tank been cycling?

I wouldn't mix the bettas. I would like to have the male with the others but if not I will get a female. I want to know if the male betta can be with everyone else. I relieze platys wont work with a betta. If I get tetras, two adf can I have a male betta in there?
