I had a 5 gal hex that I transfered to the 10 gallon. Same filter so it has all the bacteria.
I don't think you understand what I am asking and thats ok cause your the only one helping me. =]
I want 6 cardnial OR neon tetras.
Preferably my male betta, can i do that? If not a new female one.
and two ADF.
will my male betta be ok with that?

Depends on your betta. Some don't do well with any tank mates ever, and others get along with many different community fish. I think a betta would do fine in that stocking (hell, look at what I keep mine with in my sig 
), but best to keep your 2.5 ready if there's an issue.

to answer your question (6)neons and (2)ADF will do well with a male betta,but again how long has your tank been cycled?If it's barely established,i wouldn't add neon nor cardinals. But if you wait for it to mature than yeah it would be good. 
Yes he should be fine---it depends on the Male Betta's personality!...but Tetras, ADF and Male Betta should work. I would say go with 5 Neons, 2-3 ADFs and then you Betta.
It's been over 6 months. I am going to put my betta into the 10 gallon right now. thank you so much aquaparadise. I will be posting pictures of all my aniamls once they all come in. =] good night, it's 10: 15 here.
