if you want to ensure your betta has the best chance of survival just take a clean container, even on of the cheap "betta bowls" from walmart that are jsut bigger than the fish, add room temperature water from a 46 cent gallon of spring water from walmart and walla. instant happy betta. also be sure to feed bettas only a few little betta pellets at a time twice a day or less to keep water clean.
