I know what you mean about Wal-Mart..that is all I have around here too. I have to go about 45 min away for my frozen foods (not as far as you I know). Wal-Mart does carry the freeze-dried krill and bloodworms..maybe give it a try? You could always...if ya wanted just buy a bag of frozen shrimp (raw, not cooked) and just thaw one piece at a time, and put a small amount (thawed) in his tank...what other fish do you have, they may like the shrimp also
Just a thought.
Yeah, I've used the aquaplus also in the past...it works just fine. I switched to Prime (which yes I have to drive for) it is just so much more cost effective..you only need a small amount. Now that I have my 150g tank...it really saves me. I only use 3 caps in the 150, as apposed to almost an entire bottle. If when you make that trip for the frozen food, I'd pick up a bottle of that too...it is so worth it in the end.
Well...as said, raise the temp...at least switch between the pellets and flakes for a bit of variety and keep up on the water changes...I'll bet he will be fine...good luck, and keep us posted on how things go
