My betta does the same thing for freeze-dried bloodworms. The first time he ever did it, I was just slow dropping the food. Now he's got me trained!

One of my bettas does the same thing! Only problem is that he is so concerned with my finger he never gets the food. Even when I just drop the food in he still jumps for my finger. He could care less about food if my finger is there!

:lol: i have the same prob,crusoe (my betta) knows to jump he just doesent really distinguish between my finger and the food he is trying to grab!
