Yeah, my new betta doesn't seem to eat his pellets, he eats them and then spits it out. However, this is what they feed him in the LFS that i got. He does seem to be going for the flakes that i feed my harlequin rasboras with. And, some of my harlequin rasboras are trying to eat the pellets, which are way too big for them. Since they are all still new, i'm still trying to figure out a way so that they each eat their own food!
Is anyone else keeping bettas and rasboras together? I have them in an eclipse 12 and my rasboras love to play in the water outtake and my betta seems to enjoy having the stream of water from the outtake propel him across the tank. They seem to be ok with each other. I introduced my betta into the tank by keeping him in one of those breeder nets that hangs on the side of the tank for about a day before i released him into the water with the rasboras. I think the rasboras are afraid of coming up to the surface for flakes now that the betta has plopped himself up there. Maybe they'll get used to him soon...
