This is as good as it gets.
2 adf's-african DWARF frogs, maybe three. Not fish, but IMHO more entertaining than snails or shrimp.
Are they in the fish stores there? I think you can get them online at liveaquaria.com. If not there, then other online places? Or possibly find a breeder?...but I don't no anything about that.

I keep my betta alone with 3 mystery snails, but I got my Mum a betta for Mother's Day and it is in with some white clouds, they are getting along great!! I'm thinking of putting some neon's in with mine now.
I've heard some folks say that neons will nip betta's fins..but I don't know that from experience myself. Corys are nice fish to put in with betta...otos too. I have experience with that mix and always works out well for me.
I keep my betta with 7 black neons and they hardly ever pay any attention to each other. I wouldn't keep neons or cories in a 4 gallon though, except for maybe a few pygmy cories (maybe). You're better off with a snail, some kinds will eat algae too.
we set up a 5 gallon tank for my sister with a betta and two panda corries, and they get along just fine. The pandas stay much smaller than most other corries, so they do well in the smaller tank, in my experience.
