Heres my experience with angel and betta...
I currently have 29g that houses 2 angels(black and white), 1 betta, 5 cories, 3 oto, and 1 bamboo shrimp.
The angels leaves the betta alone. The betta once in a while will flare at the black angelfish. No damage done so far. The black angelfish knows to stay out of reach of the betta's chompers
:
Every betta and angels are different. It sounds like its a hit and miss situation.
Orginally I didn't have the betta in my 29g until I decide to move one of my betta to my 29g. The betta at first freaked out when the angels came to inspect for a couple of days. After that, the betta thinks he rules the roost. I'm planning on taking out the betta soon, he's making a such pig out himself at feeding time that I'm afraid that he might explode
Good luck with the routine you decide to go. Just be sure you will be around for long time to keep an eye on the angels and betta to make sure no problem arises.
