Bettas and endlers?

Does anyone know if i could have a male betta and some endlers in the same tank probly with some cherry shrimp?

I had a betta in with some endlers, they did fine. The betta pestered them at first but once he got used to them they were mostly ignored.

Of course, he ate up any fry they managed to produce...which was good for the betta but bad if you want to breed them and you don't get to them before he does.

My wife has a betta and endlers together and they do great.
