Bettas..coldwater?

Because someone was confused ;)

Betta need warmth, despite being kept in those room temperature urine analysis cups in stores. Read the thread.
 
They can be either one, NEVER put them in bowls though. Not unless you have a really big bowl with decorations and gravel and are prepared to clean the bowl 100% at least once a week. In the little tiny betta hexes they sell at pet stores, they will bore themselves to death.
 
Many fish could live in "either" conditions. It doesn't mean you shouldn't provide your betta (or other tropical fish) with optimal conditions. We are trying to make the members of AC's fish thrive, not just to "get by".
 
Little Puff...they can not be coldwater. Period. Someone was, and still is, confused:) Bettas actually prefer warmer water than most other tropical fish.
