Bettas, Guppies, Shrimp?

I have *cough* had 8 guppy fry in my betta tank (10G). I did not introduce them until they were 1" at 8 weeks old. Now they are all over 1" easily, albiet not much, but they are now down to 6...

The betta did seem a bit plump

I would suggets testing this first with ghost shrimp, as they are usually 4-5 for a dollar, instead of the more premium RCS prices...

Chances are, if the Beta eats the Ghost shrimp, your RCS doesn't stand a chance either...

Good point Brian, I will stick A ghost shrimp in with A male betta in a 1/2 gallon bowl for 2-3 days and see the outcome.

Kind of off topic, but you know how people sell ghost shrimps and feeder goldfish in Taiwan? They sell it by weight. Kind of weird.
