Bettas......

Yeah Galaxy...don't worry about them, they'll be fine. They eventually get to know who's turf is who's and relax...only occasionally sparing when they get bored and have nothing else to do. I find that keeping them near each other keeps them active and they seem much happier. Mine are never just moping around in thier tanks....unless of course, if they aren't feeling well....like my beautiful little copper betta...not sure if he'll make it or not. He had a large crop of nematodes which he must have gotten when I accidently..(was in a hurry)..used my "sick tank" syphon to clean his tank...right after I had cleaned out the "sick tank".....which I had had a fish in there with the nematode.. oO(dope)

I came back from vacation and there was a whole nest of them hanging from his vent !! !! Went right to work looking up a supplier for some levisol to treat him with, since what I been treating the other fish with ...worked, eventually, but took too long. He is cured of the nematodes, but is weakened and not doing that great...I'll be sad if I loose this one, he's a jewel !

Cool betta, emg!

Today, when I was at the LFS, I saw a really nice betta. It was a deep red with nice fins, and the outer edge of the fins was clear. The area seperating the red and the clear wasn't blurred at all; it was a very clean colour. Too bad I didn't get it though. I wasn't prepared to set up another tank for it. :(

He's Ok wind...not nearly as interesting looking as he was in the store..must have been the lighting. I should have taken him to the window to get a better look before I decided to buy him..but.....he's good and healthy with nice fins so I can't complain too much. I have so many I try to not make such mistakes...I only buy odd or unusual types and colors....pink with purple fins looked pretty interesting at the time...lol..

What is it with everyone and betta's!!!! I have a 20g that I am not using at the moment ,so all you betta lovers out there, convince me as to why I should put a betta in there.
P.S. Don't take offence to my first statement, I was just kidding.Lol :sim:

Yeah you are right Emg, but after seeing all these great pics of all of you guys betta's, I thought it would be good to try one. I was just trying to stir everyone.Lol . No offence I hope :D

you should get a male betta because they are attractive, full of personality and swim all over the place.
