What is it with everyone and betta's!!!! :huh: I have a 20g that I am not using at the moment ,so all you betta lovers out there, convince me as to why I should put a betta in there.
P.S. Don't take offence to my first statement, I was just kidding.Lol :sim:

Allow me to clarify - neither images nor fish belong to me; those particular specimens hail from Singapore, where selective breeding efforts have engendered the various strains represented above.

Heres the crowntail I couldn't resist buying at a LFS today. He hasn't fully colored up yet on his body since I just added him to the tank. But he is still one of the best looking betta's I have ever seen locally.

One of my newest finds. My daughter picked him out. Poor thing got his head caught in the syphon this morning... I wasn't paying attention and he went right over to check things out...and faster than I could react..."THWUMP!!" "GOOD HEAVENS !!" I had my finger over the other end so I plugged that up quick then considered the dilemma for a moment...while he hung there, fins flailing...... oO(will I be fast enough un plugging then blowing into the other end before he gets sucked up even farther ) The tension was immense....poor fish. I got him out but he's got a bit of damage on top of his head and near one of his gills. I felt like a moron.

Anyway...he seems ok, hope he doesn't take it too badly..here he is..he's quite an elegant little fish...bruises and all You can see the little ridge I created up on top of his head..... :duh: oO(DOH !)
