Recently I bought a female betta. Can I put her in with my male? I read in my one books that the male will fight and harass her. Can I put in with my guppies and mollies if he would? Right now she's in a tank by herself.

Please do not put a female betta in with a male betta. Fighting will ensue and one of them will be dead most likely the male since the females can be really nasty. Even when they breed it takes the work of careful breeders and this is done very carefully. There is a reason why they call them fighting fish; because they fight to the death. Putting her in with a molly is probably ok but I would be cautious with the guppies. For some reason guppies get nippy with female bettas.

If your male is in a 10g, you can put a opaque divider in the middle of them and they will be fine(even if you have him in a 5g, you can still divided it). But if he is in a smaller tank, I would just recommend adding her with the mollies and the gups.
