I have a senegal bichir that I got a year ago. He was tiny like a worm when I got him and very aggressive. He is now close to seven or eight inches long and has calmed down a wee bit. They are so cool to watch at feeding time. Plus I think they are kind of cute.

it's amazing what you can learn from a simple Google search.

I hate it when someone says this. Im pretty sure the reason people ask on this forum instead of google is that they most likely want the advice coming from the veteran memers here. And being that internet information is 50% correct at best, one is better off looking for a specialty forum if they want the most accurate answers. I dont get why a Mod would refer someone to google rather than this site.

i do understand what your saying, however in this instance its not really a big deal, seeing its such a simple question the member probably could have just looked it up online....i dont believe the mod was trying to be rude i just think that they were trying to show people that you can research your own questions before you ask...

exactly. if you want personal experience with a species, say so in your post. if you simply want to know how big a fish grows, do at least the minimum amount of research before posting here. we're certainly here to help you, but holding your hand and doing a simple Google search is definitely something you can do for yourself.
